Explained–Keriat Shema / Reading the Shema
Shalom Achim (brothers and sisters in Hebrew)
Reading the Shema daily is one of the foundations of being an Israelite. YHVH has commanded us to say the Shema as often as we can. This is what separates us from the others.
This video gives information on Reading the Shema and what is involved so that you can participate with other hearing and deaf brothers and sisters who follow the Torah. If you only want to watch the Shema in ASL you can go to the other video called Keriat Shema / Reading the Shema at www.walksetapart.com.
יברכך יהוה וישׁמרך׃
יאר יהוה פניו אליך ויחנך׃
ישׂא יהוה פניו אליך וישׂם לך שׁלום׃
YHVH will kneel before you presenting gifts and will guard you with a hedge of protection,
YHVH will illuminate the wholeness of his being toward you bringing order and he will beautify you,
YHVH will lift up his wholeness of being and look upon you and he will set in place all you need to be whole and complete (Numbers 6:24-26)
Shalom,
Dirk
