Parashat Chukat (Regulation/Decree/Commandment/Statute)

Shabbat Shalom Achim (brothers and sisters in Hebrew)

Today’s this week’s reading is called Parashah Chukat, Numbers 19:1-22:1.  The story of the fiery serpents gives us better understanding of Yeshua and what we are to do in order to do what is good and righteous in YHWH’s eyes.  There are parallels between the Bronze Serpent and Yeshua.   By being apart from YHWH we are dead and by looking and believing in Yeshua we can have everlasting life.

Let this story of Israel and the fiery serpents give you better understanding and wisdom of the awesome grace and mercy that is YHWH.

YHWH will kneel before you presenting gifts and will guard you with a hedge of protection,
YHWH will illuminate the wholeness of his being toward you bringing order and he will beautify you,
YHWH will lift up his wholeness of being and look upon you and he will set in place all you need to be whole and complete (Numbers 6:24-26)

Have a blessed Shabbat

Shalom,

Dirk

Parashat Korach

Shabbat Shalom everyone.

This week’s parashat (portion) of the Torah focuses on the rebellion of YHWH’s people Israel. It only takes one person to cause many others to rebel against YHWH. Let us examine ourselves and remove anything that is rebellious towards YHWH. YHWH’s grace is great. How can we identify what is rebellious behavior–the Torah tell us what is rebellious. Let us look at Korach and see what he did.

Parashat Shalach Lecha (Send for Yourself or Send on your Behalf)

Shalom,

This week’s lesson is from Numbers 13:1-15:41. In order to prepare for the future, we must look back to the beginning to understand what happened so that we may do the right thing and not repeat the same mistakes. Because of not being prepared we can fall into unbelief and disobedience. Let us return to the Torah and study so that we can be prepared for the future. With Yahushua Ha Mashiach’s help, it is possible.

May you all be blessed,

Shabbat Shalom,

Dirk
